Pink flowers in bud, shot close up in February in Oslo. The background is the same flowers out of focus, a uniform wash of colour behind the stem.

On aluminium: the saturated pink holds well against a clean matt surface.

On fine art paper: the soft palette and fine detail in the individual buds sit well on archival rag paper.
