About
I am at my happiest outside, with family and friends. Most days that means biking or hiking on the Varanger Peninsula, in whatever weather it offers. The camera comes along because it changes how I pay attention. It forces me to slow down and look at what is actually there. The smaller things especially.
I live in Vadsø, at 70 degrees north. My photographs are mostly of the landscapes and nature of Varanger: the returning light after polar night, the fjord and the open coast beyond it, and the small worlds captured in Arctic macro photography. The region is remote and mostly overlooked, large and open, but full of detail when you take the time.
Prints are available in the shop, and images can be licensed for commercial and editorial use. For anything else, get in touch. I am always happy to talk about photography and the Arctic.
