Crowberries in August, still catching light against green leaves and the last yellow of the season's flowers. Photographed low to the ground, mid-day, in warm light.

On aluminium: the deep, near-black berries stand out crisply against the surrounding green on a matt surface.

On fine art paper: the rich colour and fine detail in the leaves benefit from archival rag paper's texture.
